Chokchai Thongnuakhao (inset) personally refuted social media reports that he was the victim of a hazing stunt gone wrong at the Kasetsart University wastewater pond. (File photos)A Kasetsart University freshman saved from drowning in a pond during an alleged hazing ceremony incident last Friday has insisted it was an accident resulting caused by getting a cramp while in the pond. The annual hazing ceremony had already taken place at the beginning of the semester last month, he said. He is enrolled in a maritime transport programme at the Faculty of International Maritime Studies in the university's Si Racha campus in Chon Buri. Korchoke Chantawarangul, acting deputy rector of the Si Racha campus, said a panel set up by the university to look into the incident was still working.
